Back into the swing of things

Its been awhile since Ive blogged. I read different blogs daily but always forget to write on mine. LOl. Many things have changed since November. WE are expecting a baby boy in August!! Can't wait to meet him. Ive been shopping at consignment sales to get ready for his arrival(can I just say how much I LOVE consignment sales?)

School is gearing down for the end of the school year which Im excited for! WE have lots to do on our summer bucket lists, Im just hoping that my pregnant body will keep up with me!!

The thing Im looking forward to most next week is STRAWBERRY PICKING!!!

Cant wait to taste thier ripe goodness! WE will cap off the trip with a visit to our favorite playground and enjoy eating a picnic supper!!

Giving Thanks

As it is the first day of November, Im doing a 30 day challenge to say what I am thankful for each day. So that when I get upset with my family(or myself) I can look back and remember why it is I do those things. So here is the first thing I am thankful for:

1. I am THANKFUL for my husband. We have been together 8 1/2 years and he sees past my crazy insecurities and loves me just the same. He may not doing everything right but at least he tries and that I have to give him credit for.He goes to work everyday without fail(even when he is sick and I think he should stay home) which allows me to stay at home. He is my better half and I love waking up with him each morning and going to bed with him each night.

MY NEW ADDICTION!!!

I have several things I get addicted to. Reading blogs is one of them. I get amazed,inspired,jealous,and envious of most of them out there.So how excited was I to stumble upon PINTEREST. Its wonderful!! All my lovely blogged ideas in one place and all I have to do is search for what I am looking for instead of searching through blogs. Its so addicting. I lose sleep over it constantly. Plus I can "stalk" my friends and see what they are looking at also!

Back to school and back to a routine

The kids started back to school on August 10th and its been an adjustment. They were all used to sleeping in and staying up late. Plus playing outside until it gets dark. I'm excited to have the days to myself again so I can get the house back in order.But as always life gets in the way.So far there has been 4 doctors appointments,3 dentist visits,2 conferences and 5 helping teacher days. I'm tired and we are only 3 weeks in.Thank goodness we get a 3 day weekend to spend with the grandparents.I'm hoping for cooler weather.

I am so excited for the cooler weather I can hardly wait. We have had a few teaser days with cooler temps especially in the mornings but by the afternoon, it's back to hot again. I go to bed dreaming of pumpkins,leaves changing,and muffins fresh from the oven. I CAN'T WAIT!!

Football season for Jacob will be starting again soon.Shawn decided not to do football as he wants to join the wrestling team at the middle school.Destiny will have volleyball soon but we don't yet know when that will start.

My to-do list now includes:
  *finishing the curtains for the house

  *organizing the game/puzzle cabinets

  *get scrapbook supplies organizied

  *scrapbook some pages(LOL) 

 *start on Christmas gifts(never too early).

Spring Fever!!!

Spring fever has hit our house hard. Im loving digging in my garden and lovingly trying to get my flowers to grow and not die. I very easily kill plants, Dont know why. I think my green thumb is missing.

Spring means baseball season!!

With both S and J playing this year, that means alot of our time is spent at the ball fields.That in turn means, lots of crockpot meals as it isnt frugal to eat at the field 4x a week.

J will turn 5 this week and that makes me so sad to lose the baby-ness of him but so excited for this next and new exciting point of his life.

School is almost out and that means lots and lots of time spent at the playgrounds and parks and our camping trips coming up!I can't wait!!
